Description

PIMnet is a set of tools for sharing Palm data between applications and over the web.

For the latest news about PIMnet, please see the [pimnet-announce] mailing list archives.

Tools

PIMnet consists of the following tools. Follow each link to find the documentation. The tools share a common XML file format, but are independent of each other in other respects. This allows you to choose just the tools which meet your needs. The PIMnet tools are:

PIMNet Conduits for HotSync Manager

Integrates with Palm's HotSync Manager to sync your Palm with PIMnet data. Currently supported only for Microsoft Windows. Other platforms will be added as soon as Palm adds Java Conduit support for other platforms.

PIMnet Conduits for PilotManager

These are add-on components to the xmlconduits published by Norman Walsh of Sun Microsystems, in the article XML From Your Palm.

NOTE: the current version of PIMnet Conduits for PilotManager is dependent on an as yet unreleased version of the "XML From Your Palm" components. This situation will be fixed once the new version becomes available.

PIMnet Services for eXchaNGeR

These components add understanding of Palm data types to the eXchaNGeR framework. This transforms eXchaNGeR into an open source version of the Palm Desktop application.

PIMnet Web Interface

CGI scripts that allow users to access the Palm data from a web browser.
